PAYMENTS AND BOOKINGS

  • PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT A 50% DEPOSIT MUST BE PAID IN ORDER TO ENSURE A BOOKING. PROOF THEREOF MUST BE FAXED OR EMAILED ALONG WITH YOUR LOAD CONFIRMATION FORM.
  • THE FULL AMOUNT MUST BE PAID DIRECTLY AFTER LOADING, IF THE FULL AMOUNT ISN’T PAID BEFORE OR ON THE OFFLOAD DATE, THE FURNITURE WILL BE TAKEN TO OUR STORAGE FACILITIES AND IT WILL BE THE CLIENTS RESPONSIBILITY TO COVER ALL ADDITIONAL STORAGE AND ADDITIONAL OFFLOAD COSTS. WHEN FULL PAYMENT AND ADDITIONAL CHARGES HAS BEEN RECEIVED GOODS WILL BE DELIVERED.
  • INSURANCE OPTIONS ARE THE CLIENTS RESPONSIBILITY AND IF YOU THE CLIENT DECIDES NOT TO TAKE OUT INSURANCE, THE RESPONSIBILITY IS ENTIRELY ON THE CLIENT FOR THE REPAIRING OF BREAKAGES IF THEY OCCUR IN AN UNLIKELY CIRCUMSTANCE.
  • INSURANCE DOES NOT COVER OWNER PACKED BOXES.
  • QUOTATIONS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHIN 21 DAYS.
  • ALL PROOF OF PAYMENTS MUST BE EMAILED TO LEGEND REMOVALS AT: payments@legendremovals.co.za OR FAXED TO 012 – 333 7880 / 086 599 2275.
  • WE DO NOT CHEQUES. IF A CHEQUE IS THE METHOD OF PAYMENT, PLEASE MAKE SURE IT HAS CLEARED 2 WEEKS IN ADVANCE FOR BOOKINGS AND CLEARED THE DAY BEFORE OFFLOADING FOR THE LAST 50% DEPOSIT.
  • FURNITURE REMOVALS LESS THAN R5000.00 MUST BE PAID IN FULL IN ADVANCE.


FROM LOADING TO OFFLOADING

  • WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO ANNOUNCE OFFLOAD DATES FOR PART LOADS AND CLIENTS NEED TO PLAN THEIR ACTIVITIES ACCORDINGLY AS WE TRY TO MAKE PLANS TO ACCOMODATE YOUR NEEDS.
  • CLIENTS NEED TO MAKE SURE THAT ALL ITEMS ARE LISTED CORRECTLY, ANY ADDITIONAL ITEMS WHICH NEED TO BE TRANSPORTED, WHICH ISN’T LISTED ON THE INVENTORY LIST, WILL BE CHARGED ACCORDINGLY.
  • IN THE UNLIKELY EVENT OF A BREAKDOWN, LEGEND REMOVALS WON’T BE AND CAN’T BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR EXTRA COSTS REGARDING HOTELS, LODGES, CLOTHES OR ANY OTHER EXPENSES OCCURED WHILST TRUCK IS BEING REPAIRED. IN THE EVENT OF TRUCK REPAIRS TAKING SEVERAL DAYS, LEGEND REMOVALS UNDERTAKES TO ARRANGE ALTERNATIVE TRANSPORT FOR GOODS.
  • IN THE EVENT, WHERE A CLIENT ISN’T AVAILABLE FOR OFFLOAD. THE CLIENT WILL HAVE THE RESPONSIBILITY TO PAY THE EXTRA COSTS TO CHANGE THE OFFLOAD DATE.
  • TIME IS OF IMPORTANCE TO LEGEND REMOVALS, YOUR LOAD IS NOT THE ONLY LOAD ON THE VEHICLE AND A DELAY AT ANY STOP WILL CAUSE A CHAIN DELAY WHICH CANNOT BE RECOVERED.
  •  ANY INFORMATION, REGARDING STEPS AT LOADING OR OFFLOADING, DISTANCE TO CARRY THE FURNITURE, OR ANY OTHER INFORMATION WHICH WASN’T LISTED AND CAUSES EXCESSIVE DELAYS  AT LOADING OR OFFLOADING WILL BE SEEN AS NOT STATED ON THE INVOICE, AND THEREFORE WILL RESULT IN EXTRA COSTS , THEREFORE PLEASE MAKE SURE THE FOLLOWING IS STATED CLEARLY ON THE INVENTORY LIST


DISTANCE TO CARRY THE FURNITURE

  1. ACCESIBILITY TO HOUSE IN THE CASE OF EITHER SECURITY COMPLEXES, APARTMENTS IN A BUILDING, ACCESIBILITY REGARDING THE SIZE OF VEHICLES ALLOWED IN THE COMPLEX/SECURITY VILLAGE. ANY STAIRS / DOUBLE STOREY HOUSES.
  2. IF IN FLATS PLEASE INFORM LEGEND REMOVALS IF THERE ARE LIFTS AND HOW MANY FLIGHTS OF STAIRS.
  3. PLEASE INFORM LEGEND REMOVALS IF ANY IDENTIFICATION BY ITS STAFF IS REQUIRED TO ENTER SECURITY ESTATE.
  4. IF THERE ARE ITEMS THAT ARE NEEDED TO BE DE-ASSEMBLED/ASSEMBLED IT MUST BE STATED ON THE INVENTORY LIST, IF NONE ARE STATED EXPLICITLY, NO FURNITURE WILL BE ASSESMBLED OR DEASSEMBLED UNLESS EXTRA COSTS ARE COVERED.
  5. IF PACKAGING IS NEEDED, PLEASE STATE CLEARLY THE ITEMS NEEDED TO BE COVERED OR PACKED; ANY ADDITIONAL ITEMS WILL RESULT IN EXTRA COSTS.
     
  • PLEASE BE ADVISED, OFFLOAD TIMES WILL ONLY BE GIVEN ACCORDING TO THE DATE, NOT A SPECIFIC TIME.  FURTHER INFORMATION REGARDING THE TIME OF OFFLOAD WILL BE GIVEN ON THE OFFLOAD DATE OR THE DAY BEFORE.
  • NO CLIENT IN ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, ARE ALLOWED TO CONTACT THE DRIVER OR PERSONEL ON THE VEHICLE TO PLAN OFFLOAD TIMES OR ANY OTHER INFORMATION REGARDING THE VEHICLES PROGRESS. THE CONTROL CENTRE IS THE ONLY RELEVANT INFORMATION SOURCE FROM WHERE TO OBTAIN ANY INFORMATION REGARDING PROGRESS AND TIME SCHEDULES, AND WHICH MAY BE CONTACTED BETWEEN 8:00 AND 17:00.  NO CALLS WILL BE ANSWERED BEFORE 8:00 OR AFTER 17:00. UNLESS ARRANGED BEFOREHAND AND LOAD IS DUE AFTER HOURS.
  • WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO ALLOCATE THE ROUTES AND VEHICLE THE LOADS WILL UNDERTAKE.
  • IN AN UNLIKELY CIRCUMSTANCE, WHERE EXTRA FURNITURE IS OFFLOADED, WHICH IS NOT THE PROPERTY OF THE CLIENT, HE/SHE MUST CONTACT LEGEND REMOVALS URGENTLY. IN CASES WHERE NO SUCH INFORMATION IS GIVEN AND FURNITURE IS LOCATED AT YOUR PREMISES, THIS WILL BE SEEN AS A SERIOUS OFFENCE. THIS RULE PROTECTS OUR CLIENT/YOU AGAINST ANY UNLAWFULL PEOPLE, THEREFORE EVERYONE MUST PLEASE COMPLY.
  • BOXES AND FURNITURE MUST BE MARKED CLEARLY, AS ONE OF OUR RULES, CLIENTS MUST CHOOSE A COLOUR AND IT IS THEIR RESPONSIBILITY TO BUY THE NECESSARY COLOUR STICKERS AND MAKE SURE THAT THE STICKERS ARE PASTED ON A CLEARLY VISIBLE SPOT, ESPECIALLY PART LOAD CLIENTS.
  • ANY CLAIMS OF DAMAGES OR LOST ITEMS OR ANY REPORT OF MISCONDUCT OF STAFF MUST PLEASE BE REPORTED TO LEGEND REMOVALS IN WRITING WITHIN 72 HOURS.
